Brains, Bandit or Boobilee?
In light of the formation of a new political party, we were amused to see a blog post about the choice now being between a Mook, Crook and Dook. Not to be outdone, we were recently emailed by someone preferring to refer to the candidates as Brains, Bandit and Boobilee. It is clear that Winston Dookeran, although highly intelligent and being most capable of managing our economy doesn’t have the charisma of the other two candidates. Panday has charisma but evidently loose morals and well…Manning has managed to find a great source for ineffictive blimps…oh…and his son managed to launch a website. What a way to make a Dad proud!
What do you think of the candidates?
“It is clear that Winston Dookeran, although highly intelligent and being most capable of managing our economy doesn’t have the charisma of the other two candidates”
So tell me…is him not having charisma a valid reason not to vote for him? Surely the author of this article is capable of coming up with another reason. Or is he/she like the rest of the popluation..making excuses of why they should vote for Manning/Panday?
Seriously…you can’t blame the government for what is happening in this country…the blame falls on the people who put and will continue to put these individuals in the seat of power.

↓ Quote | Posted September 16, 2006, 10:32 amI haven’t played them yet, but I like how the games look. By the way I think charisma is overrated. A.N.R. Robinson didn’t have much of a charisma, but look at what he did.
↓ Quote | Posted September 17, 2006, 11:08 amFrom the outside looking in, I say the following:
1)NEW PRESIDENT WHO IS GENUINELY CONCERNED with the needs of the people. Talk with the constituents. Have them go out to each community and collect data concerning what the people feel they need to improve their area. This will give people hope.
2) FOLLOW UP ON THE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE CONSTITUENTS/REPRESENTATIVE as outlined in 1. ONly the people who live there know what they want in terms of education, work, crime, society, etc. The vote and voice of the people should be a priority, since they have to live there.
3) ADOPT A ‘NO TOLERANCE’ ATTITUDE - ZERO TOLERANCE for corrupt officials (all legal aspects). show the people you mean what you say. If cops are corrupt and deserve to be treated like bandits, jail time, life, whatever….
When the government start with the little things to show people that they really care, then the people will start to cooperate. Improve living conditions, pave the roads, provide jobs, create hotlines for reporting crime, missing people, etc. The press should work in close proximity with the people as well. When the nation unites, the criminals have no where to run; no where to turn to. I.e. if a neighbor son toting guns, etc, the 1800 number/hotline number keeps the neighbor from being threatened.
These things are just a start…when you start with the little things, then everything will fall into place. People in TnT have suffered; low self esteem, living day by day, nobody cares…its not a nice place to be mentally. TnT wants to be at the forefront by 2010.
↓ Quote | Posted September 25, 2006, 3:15 pmLook at CARIFESTA alone - says a lot, huh! If you don’t treat your people right, how do you expect them to treat others?
Leadership here is key. If the people see the leaders are standing up, by all means, they will show fresh courage and be in full support. New positive leadership with the people’s needs in mind is the solution.
True true true…..everyword of it is true…
↓ Quote | Posted October 13, 2006, 10:21 pmPatrick Manning’s public outbursts and out-of-control behavior places every citizen in grave and immediate danger. The public did not need the AG or the DPP to discredit Manning’s ranting and raving display of psychotic behavior. The public can very well do that on it’s own. More importantly however, it has become abundantly clear that Manning’s ability to “forsee” the future criminal proceedings destroys the Office of the DPP, the Office of the AG and the enitire judicial framework of the country. What the DPP and AG have done is a weak attempt at undoing the damage to the PNM by Manning. In the final analysis, it is my opinion that Manning has self-destrucpted and single handedly destroyed the PNM. Sensible people with concern for their own integrity will disassociate themselves immediately from Manning and the PNM.

↓ Quote | Posted October 27, 2006, 9:16 pmu all are deciding whether to vote for a man if he has cahrisma or not? what the hell is wrong with you people??
↓ Quote | Posted November 4, 2006, 9:04 amI think that Mr. Dookeran is this country’s only hope. The man is intelligent, genuine and untainted. Give the man a chance people.
↓ Quote | Posted November 6, 2006, 10:03 amI am supporting Mr. Dookeran till the end!
↓ Quote | Posted November 6, 2006, 3:24 pmMost people who will be voting for the COP will not do so because they prefer that party. They will do so to keep the other two out. Hey i have no problem with that.
UNC “allegedly” thief. (ah like dat word “allegedly”. they could catch you with knife in hand lunging it into someone’s chest and they will still say you “allegedly” did that, anyhow). The PNM don’t give ah shit about anyone besides themselves and oh yes they “allegedly” thieving too. so that leaves us with Dooks and he COPs. I don’t know if they are the best choice but screw charisma I looking for results. Just remember is charisma that have us in the shit we in now.
↓ Quote | Posted November 19, 2006, 9:13 amI totally agree. The politricks in TnT is stiffling the country. Young people need become more involved….I will vote for COP just to keep PNM and UNC out as well…..we need a change…Time for Trinbagonians to run the country…not Indians or Africans…
↓ Quote | Posted November 25, 2006, 12:57 pmNot “allegedly” THEY DID THIEF.
But on a side note the PNM been teefing the people’s wealth for over 40 years and NOT ONE PNMITES ever went to Jail.
We like it so.
↓ Quote | Posted November 26, 2006, 4:34 pmMr.Dookeran possesses the same qualities as Mr.manning.That entire party was formed on the basis of lies.He was collecting money to fund his own party while still the leader of the UNC.Tell me is this jackass the right man to put.He is the most mundane, dull, and morbidly stupid. He will have his cronies controllling him,if {GOD FORBID} that asshole comes PM we dont have a fucking chance.I say to hell with everyone in Parliament ,vote for a new political party rather than voting for the C>R>A>P {Congress of Retired and ancient Politicians} that is the COP.We need to support a party full with young people who are genuinely interested in the country’s affairs.Dookeran and his gang of assholes are only seeing the money in the treasury as their main goal,so right now we ass dark
