They're doing absolutely nothing for the betterment of this country. Yesterday I told my parents that I want to migrate as soon as possible. I really do not feel safe here. Mr. Brian Lalla, the ex-policeman who went missing on February 12th, 2008 and has not yet been found, well, he is my uncle. Yes, he is my uncle! The police is doing absolutely nothing for my family! Since my uncle went missing, they came by my aunt's house only twice. The reason why they came was simply because on an interview that was done with one of the media houses we mentioned that they're doing nothing to assist my family. That's the only reason why they came on those two days. When we were going on searches for my uncle, we called for police accompaniment. Their reply was either they had no vehicles or they were short staff. That was the reply we kept getting all the time. On two of the searches that we did, Mr. Inshan Ishmael went with us. He gathered a group of people and they went down with us. I must say that he has certainly assisted my family a whole lot. He has definitely done more that the police. But what can I say? We, the people who voted for change, have to suffer because of those who stained their fingers for the PNM. Although we voted for change, we have to suffer also! It's time now that we stand up for our rights! I did not know how it feels to be affected by crime until it came knocking on my door. You also would not know how it feel until it comes knocking on your door. So before it happens, do something so that it would not happen. I'm really, honestly fed up! I don't know what to do again!
